About us

Our Drama Family

Originally founded in 1962 as Highbury Players, Wing It Theatrical Society began as a community theatre group formed by residents of the Highbury Estate in Cosham, Portsmouth. For many years, the group gathered, rehearsed, and staged their performances at St. Philips Church Hall on the estate.

In 2022, the group relocated from their original home on the Highbury Estate to The Purbrook Centre. In June 2025 The Group moved again to Bedhampton Community Centre for the next stage in our journey. It was at this time that the group decided that our name needed to change and after many suggestions and a vote of the members Wing It Theatrical Society was chosen and aa new chapter began.

Wing It Theatrical Society are dedicated to producing two plays a year and take pride in hosting an active social calendar, offering monthly activities for members to connect and enjoy.

Our members meet most  Mondays at 7:30 PM, engaging in rehearsals, set building, or play readings for upcoming productions. New members are always welcome to join the fun and creativity!
